Snowball – day 1
My analysis
Snowball
The snowball starts every Monday with a stake of 100 kroner , and the entire winnings are played from game to game as long as the streak lasts. If the bet fails, we will start a new snowball the following Monday. When Thursday comes, we always take out the original stake from Monday, so that we still secure the amount we started with. Any winnings beyond this are allowed to continue rolling to see how far the snowball can grow. An upper limit of a maximum of seven games , so that the last game in the snowball is always played on Sunday. That way, we can start a new snowball again the following Monday. The goal is to find games with high probability and clear value, where the odds are normally between 1.30 and 1.60 .
Naples–Milan
Napoli are a team that thrives on the ball and often sets up quick combinations in the middle of the pitch. This forces the opponent to break the rhythm with small, tactical free kicks – especially in midfield. Milan are precisely the team that has to resort to such moves to a large extent when facing technically strong teams, and this naturally results in more yellow cards.
In addition, Milan play with a relatively aggressive approach in the pressing game. They go high and try to win the ball early, but this also leads to several situations where they enter the duels half a second too late. Such situations – especially along the wings and in transitions – are classic short situations in Serie A.
Another important factor is the importance and temperature of the match. This is a top-flight match where the margins are small, and where frustration quickly builds up if things don't go Milan's way. In such matches, you often see away teams draw more cards, both because they have to defend more at times, and because they have to stop counterattacks to a greater extent.
Looking at the statistical backdrop, Milan regularly have 2+ cards in matches of this type. The combination of away from home, high pressure, tactical free kicks and a Napoli team that challenges a lot one-on-one, makes the probability of at least two Milan cards appear high.
