New Orleans Saints - New York Giants 09/05/25

Analysis Information
It's been a rough start for the New Orleans Saints, who are 0-4 so far. However, they finally showed some life last week when they kept up with the Buffalo Bills until the end of the game. Now they have a chance to turn the tide at home against a Giants team that got its first win last weekend but comes into this game with major challenges offensively.
New Orleans: Glimpses of hope despite the results
The Saints were big underdogs away to the Bills, but hung on until the fourth quarter before Buffalo decided the game. QB Spencer Rattler still needs to win as an NFL starter, but he has shown improvement: only one interception so far and 5 touchdown passes in the last three games. He has yet to pass for 220 yards in a game, but now faces a Giants defense that is 25th best in the league against the pass.
The biggest problem has been finishing games and the once-feared home fortress of Caesars Superdome has lost some of its magic with five straight home losses. But it's still a team with quality on both lines, and against an injury-plagued Giants team, they have a real chance to get their first win of the season.
New York Giants: Rookie QB and heavy injury problems
The Giants finally got their act together when they beat the Chargers 21-18 last week. Rookie QB Jaxson Dart had a solid debut with both a touchdown pass and a rushing TD. He looked confident with his feet and had two chances to score in the red zone, but was stopped one yard short.
But not everything is rosy: The Giants lost their best receiver, Malik Nabers, for the rest of the season with an ACL injury. Dart is also playing with a slightly troubled hamstring, and without Nabers, the Giants will likely be more predictable offensively. They can still move the ball, but it will take a lot from a brand-new QB against a hungry Saints defense that has shown it can create turnovers.
Conclusion
This is a game the Saints simply have to win. They face a rookie QB on the road who is not completely healthy, and a Giants offense without its best playmaker. The Saints showed signs of life against the Bills, and at home against a Giants team in transition, they should have enough quality to pull this off.
I also like the chance that Jaxson Dart can get his feet wet near the goal line again, the Giants used him a lot in the red zone in his debut, and with a lack of weapons in the passing game, he may have to run in points himself.
