Analysis of:
Green Bay Packers - Minnesota Vikings 10/23/25

Analysis Information
It's a classic NFC North division showdown as the Green Bay Packers host their arch-rival Minnesota Vikings at a wintry Lambeau Field. Both teams are desperate to keep their playoff hopes alive, but they're in slightly different places in terms of form. The Packers appear to be on the rise again, while the Vikings look increasingly like a team without direction.
Green Bay Packers - solid at home
The Packers at Lambeau Field are like Tottenham at home in the Premier League, you'll have to be good to get something out of this. Green Bay has won four of its last five at home, and they do it with a mix of aggressive defense and precise passing.
The rumors of Josh Jacobs' injury create some uncertainty, but the Packers have shown that they can win even without him. The team's strength lies primarily in its defense - which ranks in the top five in the league in yards per play allowed. In other words: they make the opponent work hard for every single yard.
Quarterback Carson Wentz has been safe, not spectacular, but exactly what Matt LaFleur wants. With controlled tempo and an efficient short-pass game, the Packers have looked stable, and at home against a fumbling Vikings team, that should hold up in spades.
Minnesota Vikings – offensive chaos
Since JJ McCarthy took over as quarterback, the Vikings' offense has gone from uneven to downright weak. Against the Bears last week, he completed only half of his passes and threw two interceptions -- against a defense that ranks among the league's weakest in pass coverage.
McCarthy has yet to show that he can handle pressure or difficult away fields, and now he will be going out to Lambeau Field – one of the most unpleasant places to play in the November cold. The Vikings have also lost a lot of rhythm in the running game, and even the stars at receiver have little to work with when the ball never gets where it needs to.
Defensively, Minnesota has had its moments, but they are leaking yardage after yardage on the ground and are in the bottom five of the league against the run. That doesn't bode well against a physical Packers team that likes to grind their opponents to pieces throughout the game.
Conclusion
This looks like a perfect matchup for Green Bay to build on their form. They are stable, have home field advantage, and face a Vikings team without the confidence, structure, or quarterback to turn it around.
Even without Josh Jacobs, the Packers should have more than enough shooting to win comfortably, and I think it will be a typical Lambeau night: solid, controlled, and fairly one-sided.
