Sunday night Norwegian time, the capital will host a match, but there is little indication that DC United will play as hosts with either confidence or strength.

A team on the uphill battle faces an away team that thrives on resistance – and if you ask us, this smells like Colorado points a long way.

DC United – Benteke out, form straight down

Troy Lesesne hasn't exactly been making a difference lately. DC United went down to a 3-0 defeat to Philly and have now lost five of their last six games. And when you also lose your leading scorer – Christian Benteke – it's not exactly optimism that permeates the dressing room at Audi Field.

The injury is not expected to be long-term, but everything indicates that the Belgian power forward will have to sit this one out. And then the home team will lose more than just goals – they will lose their reference point, the one who has actually managed to hurt opponents in an otherwise troubled season.

Defensively, things are still leaking steadily, and there aren't many signs that this will turn around overnight.

Colorado Rapids – Collective security and away points in the bag

Chris Armas' team has found their rhythm. They are on a three-game unbeaten streak, and have delivered solid performances on the road. The loss to Vancouver is easily forgiven, especially considering they have beaten both Austin and San Jose on the road earlier this year.

The Rapids aren't spectacular – but they are structured, patient and efficient. And that's more than enough when facing a wounded and unbalanced home team. Djordje Mihailovic has been one of the big driving forces going forward, and Colorado has scored in all of their away games so far this year – often more than once.

The match seen through the eyes of odds

Looking at this matchup, it's almost surprising that the odds on the away team are still so high. A Rapids team in form faces a DC team without Benteke, with five losses in six and a defensive crisis.

In my eyes, this is a perfect match for a Rapids team that thrives in the underdog role and has already proven that they can score both points and goals on the road.
