The betting slip has a very special place in Norwegian sports and gaming history, but it is still treated with a paternalistic attitude by several of the more experienced gamblers. Why? Little to gain unless there is a bonus pot? Aversion to the monopoly? A product that has not developed in step with the rest of society? We don't know. But for a website that wants to cover all things sports and gaming, it goes without saying that we also have to cover the good old betting slip.
Because it's old. And good. But even though we can trace it all the way back to 1948, there are few members at 90minutefamily who can boast of having been there from the start. But for most of us, at least those of us over 40, the betting slip was what started it all. It was what created the interest that we value so highly today. Something we tried to convey in our tribute to the betting slip .
Betting teams at Norsk Tipping
The betting slip is thus far more than just a game. It is a piece of Norwegian cultural history, closely intertwined with football interest, the joy of statistics and the collective excitement that arises when many people bet on the same matches – week after week, year after year.
And that's exactly why we want to gather our entire community around the legendary Tippekupongen. And the rules are much the same now as they were back then. It's still about 1-X-2, and you're rewarded if you manage to predict what few others can. And you can read more about the regulations around betting teams at Norsk Tipping here .
But we must have some rules. And we have limited ourselves to the following;
- Deadlines will be set for joining the rounds. For example, collection on Fridays for coupons for Saturday and Sunday, and Tuesday for midweek coupons.
- Everyone must either join in, or actively choose to "stand over", each round. If you choose not to respond, you will be removed from the team. We primarily want active participants in the team, and must therefore be strict about this.
- We will vary which system we choose, depending on how many people we have. For traditional rounds we will aim for either 1728 rows or 2592 rows. For larger bonus payouts, we will try to get larger system bets, possibly larger coupons.
- We will take in about 100-150kr in front of regular rounds, and perhaps somewhat higher amounts for larger bonus pots.
Betting coupon, Lotto, Vikinglotto – we offer it all
So there we were again; Saturday at 4:00 PM, something good in the glass and the bottom in the air at every ping, right? Not necessarily. We are older now, and when we now get involved with the lottery ticket, we do it to win money. So sign up here if it is the lottery ticket that tempts you. If other lotto games are your thing, you can find it here .
And remember; the betting slip is also discussed in our Discord server, in addition to everything else about sports and live betting, so join over 600 others here .
