After a dramatic last season, where TIF Viking remained as league champion and several teams fought tooth and nail to avoid relegation, expectations are high for the new season of the Mizuno League for women. Never before has the league been more even, and both established top teams and newly promoted challengers are setting out with ambitions to make a mark. With young talents on the rise, seasoned profiles who want to dominate, and teams that have strengthened their squads over the summer, everything is set for a season packed with intensity, drama and surprises. Here is my table tip for the Mizuno League 2025/2026.
Setting up a table tip for the women's Mizuno League 2024-2025. TVN is not included in the table tip, since they only play home games.
1. place TIF Viking
Last season we experienced a historic feat by TIF Viking women, who triumphed with their first league gold, cup gold and playoff victory. In the 2024/2025 series, TIF Viking only lost two games and both losses came on the away trip to Oslo against Koll 3-0 and Oslo Volley 3-1. This means that TIF Viking has not lost in the Norwegian series since October 6. I believe, like last year, that TIF Viking will take 1st place in the 2025/2026 Mizuno League. The weekend before the start of the series against Koll on October 3, they have been at a training camp in Poland and it seems like it has been a success.
TIF Viking is playing this season with mostly the same squad that helped win everything last season. We should also note that Sigrid Zachariassen is back, after a six-month absence due to her studies. This gives TIF Viking more strings to play on. I think TIF Viking will continue the fantastic development they have had in recent years under Martin Bjelland. Therefore, there will be another first place in the Mizunligaen for TIF VIking.

2. place Førde
Last season, Førde had a tough start with five straight losses, and it looked like my prediction of relegation would come true. With only two wins before Christmas, it didn't look very promising for the team either. But at Christmas it seemed like the players and coaching staff didn't take much time off, because after New Year's Day, Førde hit back with five straight wins, after losing 2–3 to Randaberg in the first game. Thus, it didn't end with relegation, but instead with the playoffs. There, Førde was eliminated in the semi-finals after a narrow 13–15 loss to TIF Viking.
This season I believe that Førde will get off to a much better start. Yes, there have been some changes in the squad, but they have a good core in the team that helped turn things around last year. And they have also brought in some exciting players. Especially Emilie Olimstad, who has focused on beach volleyball in recent years, we should rather look at indoor volleyball. So I think we will have a very strong Førde season and a surprising second place in this year's Mizuno League.

3. space Axe
Øksil has had two good seasons in the Mizuno League. And put my prediction of a draw to shame last year. They have had some players back from injury and suspension for this season. So they have pretty much the same roster as last year.
I think all teams in the Mizuno League will have a tough time in Øksneshallen in terms of travel and the home support Øksil gets. If Øksil manages to take advantage of this, this will be another incredible season for the supporters in Øksneshallen. That's why I predict Øksil in third place in this year's Mizuno League.

4. place Oslo Volleyball
Oslo Volley had a tough season last year and had to play in the qualifiers to stay in the Mizuno League. In the qualifiers, they made a clean sheet against BK Tromsø. Towards the end of this season, there has been a change of coach, and the club has brought in an old friend in Marko Milosevic. In addition, they have brought in eight new players, which means that Oslo Volley has more resources to play on this year than last year. I think this gives Oslo Volley a much better training routine, and that they don't have to use semi-injured players to get through the season like they had to do last year. It will be exciting to see how the team develops over the course of the season. I believe that Oslo Volley will have a good season, and that is why I am betting on them in 4th place in the Mizuno League.

5. space Koll
Koll finished in a strong third place in the Mizuno League last season, and followed that up by playing all the way to the playoff final. There, the big favorite TIF Viking awaited, and the final was a real drama. Koll pushed the Bergen team to the limit, but ultimately had to see themselves defeated after a bitter 2–3 loss, with a narrow margin of 15–17 in the decisive fifth set.
This season I think Koll will have a tough time, as Renate Bjerland has given up for this season. The team may therefore be faced with a challenge to replace Renate Bjerland, who has been a mainstay in recent years. It will be exciting to see if someone from their own ranks seizes the opportunity, or if one of the new players delivers from day one. Koll has shown in the past that they can build team culture and fight back, but in such a consistent Mizuno League, a slow start can be costly. The question is whether they can find the rhythm quickly enough to fight for the top three. This puts Koll in fifth place in the table

6. place Randaberg
Last season, Randaberg landed back on earth after two fantastic seasons before that with 5th place in the series and a semi-final loss in the cup. Things are also getting worse for Randaberg this season. They have had problems in the pre-season with injuries to key players. The injury to Wilde Jakobssen in particular will be difficult to replace. It will be exciting to see how Randaberg will cope without Wilde until Christmas. Therefore, I predict Randaberg to finish sixth in this year's Mizuno League.

7. place YMCA Volda
KFUM Volda was relegated in the 2023/2024 season, but only spent one season in the 1st division before they were back in good company. The club also has one of the country's best junior teams on the girls' side, and we will see several of these players in this year's Mizuno League. With a young team, they will probably experience both ups and downs, but I still think they will manage to stay in the division. I would also not be surprised if Volda takes a few scalps at home. Therefore, I predict that Volda will end up in seventh place in this year's Mizuno League and win the qualification to avoid relegation.

8. place NTNUI
Last season, NTNUI came in sixth place after they were back in the Mizuno League. This season is going to be tough for NTNUI. Several players who have been the core of the team have changed clubs or gone to beach volleyball until this season. NTNUI will feel the loss of Nina Pavlova in particular strongly. This means that NTNUI will have to start all over again after two good seasons with a good core of players who maintain the level in the Mizuno League. I think they will not have enough time to build a new team that can stay in the Mizuno League. Therefore, I predict relegation for this year's NTNUI team.
