Summary of WRC 2025

This is how the WRC went in 2025

The 2025 rally season for the world's best rally drivers is over, and after 14 intense races across several continents, Sébastien Ogier was crowned world champion for the ninth time in his legendary career. What was long a four-man battle for the title finally ended in a duel between Ogier and Elfyn Evans in the season finale in Saudi Arabia. There, the Frenchman kept his cool and secured the championship by a narrow margin of four points.

For us at 90minutefamily, the season started as usual in January with the Rally Monte-Carlo, and continued from there through eleven months and 14 races, from snowy Swedish forests to dusty dirt roads in Paraguay and scorching desert landscapes in Saudi Arabia. Together we have guided you through odds tips, reviews and analysis round by round.

We knew early on that reigning world champion Thierry Neuville and Hyundai would have a tough start to the season, but we had not imagined that the challenges would last so long and be so extensive. Because while Hyundai was struggling for form, Toyota delivered an almost flawless season: 12 wins in 14 races testify to total dominance. It was not until the end of June that Hyundai's long-awaited triumph came. They could thank Ott Tänak who finally broke through with a win, a win we hit on via an alternative bet at a nice 3.30 odds. The second win came in the last race of the year with Thierry Neuville, a win we were far from predicting.

The season was thus a mix of solid hits and a few sour misses, just as a long season tends to be. In total, 90minutefamily delivered 102 odds tips on WRC in 2025, where 56 went in and 46 went out. Overall, we ended up with a profit (ROI) of a strong 19.12%, while we have received a lot of excitement, drama and entertainment.

Now the focus is on WRC 2026. New analyses, tips and assessments will appear soon, and we are ready to kick off a new season when Rally Monte-Carlo rolls out on January 22.
