Ronaldo surprises – Vegard Erlien on his way to Spain

Vegard Erlien is ready for Real Valladolid. The Norwegian striker has signed for the Spanish club and is thus taking the step from the Eliteserien to Spanish football.

Erlien is now in Spain to undergo a medical and has been presented to the club management in Valladolid. The agreement will become active after his contract with Tromsø IL expires at the end of the year, and Real Valladolid will thus acquire the striker without a transfer fee.

Erlien has signed a contract that lasts until the summer of 2027. This gives the 27-year-old Norwegian a multi-year deal at the club, which has clear ambitions to establish itself in Spanish football.

Real Valladolid, owned by former Brazilian world star Ronaldo, have been looking for offensive reinforcements for some time. Erlien is described as a physically strong and hard-working striker, with the ability to both score goals and contribute to the collective game. The club sees the Norwegian as an alternative who can add width and competition to the attacking line.

Erlien comes from Tromsø IL, where he has played a central role in recent seasons. After the transfer from Ranheim in 2023, he quickly developed into one of the team's most important offensive players. During his time in Tromsø, he consistently delivered goals and assists.

The transfer marks Erlien's first adventure abroad in club football. For Real Valladolid, the signing is part of a larger effort to build an effective squad, while Erlien himself gets the opportunity to test himself in a new and more demanding football environment.

The club is expected to officially present the Norwegian shortly.
