Sir Safety Perugia won the final of the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship 2025 after an impressive 3–0 victory against Osaka Bluteon, thus securing the club world championship title. The triumph once again confirms Perugia's position as the world's best volleyball club team and marks another great achievement for Italian volleyball.
Total control in the final
Perugia dominated the final from start to finish. The team was clearly the best in attack, blocking and serving, and maintained a high tempo throughout all three sets. Osaka Bluteon never managed to establish a rhythm or create any real excitement in the match.
Collective strength with clear key players
The victory was the result of a strong team performance, not dependent on any one individual player. However, several profiles stood out:
- Wassim Ben Tara was a constant threat with powerful attacks and effective serves, scoring important points on his own.
- Agustín Loser and Sebastián Solé delivered solidly both offensively and in the block, helping to stop Osaka's attacking play.
- Captain Simone Giannelli controlled the match with superb technique and clear leadership, setting the pace for Perugia's attacking play.
The balanced team effort made Perugia extremely difficult to defend against, and Osaka was never able to lock down the game against one specific player.
Congratulations to Perugia on a fantastic tournament. With the world championship title under their belt, they enter the Christmas season as the world's best volleyball club team.
Perugia's next match will be played on Boxing Day, away against Cisterna in the Italian Super League.
