From PostNord to the Eliteserien
It wasn't long ago that the youngster from small Grimstad stepped up and made his debut for the A-team of Jerv FK, where it would later turn out that he would wear the captain's armband.
There's no denying that it's been tough to watch Jerv's decline – from relegation from the Eliteserien all the way to the PostNord League. But with change comes opportunities for new faces in the starting eleven.
From playing junior football for the G19 team of Jerv, he got the chance to train with the A-team and actually make his debut against KFUM in 2021. Since then, it has only gone one way – and that is up. Because when Jerv needed a big and strong stopper, the young boy stepped up.
He would later prove to be an important piece in the promotion-chasing and desperate Jerv team, who ultimately had to bow to Brattvåg, who secured the important 2nd place in the PostNord division. With important involvements and solid development, he is now on his way to bigger challenges.
Sandefjord won the battle for the young defender, and Håkon Krogelien will now move on to Sandefjord Fotball – a very exciting team that has achieved a lot of good things this season. I have no doubt that the defender has the opportunity to develop even more at this club.
The story of Håkon Krogelien is clear proof that hard work, patience and a willingness to take responsibility are rewarded. From tough challenges in the PostNord league to new opportunities at the top level of Norwegian football, the move to Sandefjord Fotball marks the start of a new and exciting chapter. With the experience he brings with him from Jerv and the development curve he has shown in recent years, everything is in place for the youngster from Grimstad to make his mark in the Eliteserien as well.
