Fantasy Council + 90minutefamily = we who love Fantasy Premier League

Finally, August is here. The month, which is associated with weather changes, the start of school and the end of the summer holidays, is still best remembered as the month when the biggest leagues wake up from their slumber. And with the start of the season in the biggest European football leagues, also comes the start of the Fantasy Premier League season. And there we plan to copy last year's success. And remember; fantasy is best when you can share it with others, so join our Discord server here.

The perfect collaboration with the Fantasy Council for those of you who love fantasy and football.

But new for the year is our collaboration with the country's coolest fantasy podcast; Fantasyrådet. Franco Roche, Simen Aasum and Sondre Golden Midtgarden have been running the podcast since July 6, 2017, and there is no better podcast if you love fantasy and/or football. Since its inception, the guys at Fantasyrådet have built the project stone by stone, with the goal of delivering the best tips, analysis and recommendations to fantasy players who want to perform in the Fantasy Premier League – through their weekly episodes.
This has resulted in Fantasyrådet growing to become the most popular source for Fantasy Premier League content in Norway

So join the 90minutefamily league this year and compete for great prizes from the Fantasy Council. The prizes are of different lengths in a membership on the Patreon plan (Fanatsyrådet Pluss). The membership includes access to the Discord forum for the Fanatsyrådet, digital collections (Discord) last 30 minutes before each round deadline, early access to the Council's "pre-season package", league with prizes and the opportunity to buy merch when we launch something. The top three winners in the 90minutefamily league win a Patreon membership (Fanatsyrådet Pluss). We close league access after the last national team break for Christmas.

  1. 1st place: One year membership to Patreon (Fanatsyrådet Pluss)
  2. 1st place: A six-month membership to Patreon (Fantasyrådet Pluss),
  3. 1st place: One month membership Patreon (Fantasy Council Plus),
    League code: 4oo29q

Last season, it was Håkon Olsen who took home the win in the 90minutefamily league. Fredrik Alstad Østvik took second place, while Thorbjørn Østvik finished in third place. I wish the winners from last year the best of luck with the new season. And I hope the rest of you are eager to challenge the winners from last year in the 90minutefamily league.

New season and new things in fantasy Premier League 2025

We at 90minutefamily recommend listening to the Fantasy Council's Podcast with a view to how to play fantasy Premier League. And how the new rules can affect your Fantasy and other useful information before the season starts. And not least to stay updated on what applies in FPL throughout the season with the Fantasy Council!

The Fantasy Council has gone through all the teams and team parts, in their so-called Pre season episodes on Patreon . Here they come with recommendations of which players you should join from the start. In addition, you can hear from the guys in the Fantasy Council come with their table tips.

In the lead-up to this year's PL fantasy season, FPL has introduced some new things into the game. (Recommend listening to Fantasyrådet)

  1. Defenders now receive 2 bonus points if they have at least 10 defensive actions in a match (clearances, blocks, breaks and tackles). Midfielders and attackers must have 12 actions to receive the same additional points.
  2. This season we also get double the beach boost, free hit, triple captain and wildcard from gameweeks 1-19 and from 20-38.
It will be nice to use chips before Christmas, instead of sitting and brooding on chips until the last part of the PL season.

90minutefamily – the player you want to have from the start, a wildcard and from the newly promoted teams from Fredrik Østvik

Points-getter Mohamed Salah is a must-have in this year's PL fantasy from the start. With his total of 344 points last season and with a 57.1% ownership share at the time of writing. And he is also likely to be captain in the first round.

Donyell Malen could be a nice outsider if he starts for Aston Villa. Currently he is owned by 2.4% and there is uncertainty about whether he will start for Aston Villa. In the 243 minutes he has played so far in the pre-season, there have been two goals and two assists. We are crossing our fingers that he is in Unai Emery's plans.

Daniel James from Leeds I think will be this year's points picker from the newly promoted teams. He has experience from PL before, and this can quickly come in handy. Most teams that face Leeds will probably stand high, and press Leeds low. This way Daniel James can use his enormous speed and speed. I should not ignore the fact that he gets over 120 points in this year's fantasy season.

Wishing everyone good luck with this year's season. And remember; listen to the Fantasy Council !
