You can say a lot about UEFA, and the way the Champions League has evolved. When the tournament came out in 1955, it was a European Cup for league winners. It is not like that now. Because when Chelsea won the Champions League in 2020-2021, it was Liverpool who were the reigning champions in England. And Real Madrid won the Champions League in 2021-2022 and 2023-2024, but prior to those two triumphs, it was Atlético Madrid and Barcelona who were the reigning champions in La Liga. That's how it has become. Money rules.
Yet it is the world's most popular club tournament, regardless of sport, and it is the world's third most popular football tournament, behind the World Cup and the European Championship. And the high-ranking gentlemen at UEFA know what they have in store. Because who wouldn't want to see all the world's best teams compete throughout an entire season? Because which league is really the best? Or; which country has the best team? La Liga, Premier League, 1.Bundesliga, Serie A or Ligue 1?
But before we get to the final, which will be played at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Kairat Almaty, Slavia Prague, Pafos and Qarabag will compete with the world's best football teams. And we are there. Here at 90minutefamily we follow every kick of the ball. Sometimes in the form of analysis, sometimes in the form of odds tips. And this time we have delved deeper into the following matches;
Atalanta–Chelsea
Bergamo is visited by a Chelsea that is starting to look like a team again. Under Enzo Maresca, the London club has gained a clear expression, possession, structure and patience. Atalanta, on the other hand, has been through turbulence, a change of coach and uneven form, but they are still anything but harmless.
Both teams see this as a test of where they really stand in the new Champions League format. It will be a duel between a team trying to rediscover its identity, and a team that has finally found one.

Barcelona - Eintracht Frankfurt
Barcelona host Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League, in a match where both teams are chasing important points towards the end of the group stage. The home team wants to consolidate their position and secure promotion, while the visitors from Germany need a small miracle to keep their play-off dream alive. The Camp Nou is once again filled with anticipation – the last time Frankfurt visited here, in 2022, they shocked the Catalans. This time, we expect a match where Barcelona seek control, and where discipline could be the deciding factor.

PSV – Atletico Madrid
Few teams have entertained us more than today's home team in this year's Champions League. But is the away team capable of entertaining? We think so. Because there are things that indicate that this year's edition of Atlético Madrid is not the same in every way. And then it could quickly become fun Philips Stadion.

The Champions League adventure continues, but this time Glimt is far from home. Now an away match awaits them in Germany – and it will not be an easy task when they have to face the yellow wall on its own terms.
