Then it's the last day of the World Championships, and it's the Formula 1 event that's coming up: namely the mass start. It's been a World Championships with many good competitions, and the atmosphere in the stands has been very good. I think the last day of the World Championships won't disappoint tomorrow either.
Mass start is an event where they shoot four times: first two prone series, before finishing with two standing series. In other words, a lot will be decided on the shooting range, but at the same time the ladies will have to ski 12.5 km. We've seen that there are big differences on skis, which has led to huge differences in cross-country times, even among the favorites. It's always a big advantage to come from behind, as in all other sports. If you're going to miss a few series, it's most beneficial to miss the first series, if you're going to have any chance of getting the top positions. This gives an advantage to the good standing shooters who manage to keep a cool head when it's all decided.

Dorothea Wierer

The Italian lady has probably already started thinking about next season. This year has been a tough one for Wierer. She has a 4th place from Ruhpolding and a 4th place in Toblach to beat the table with. I thought the two encouraging results would turn the season around for her, but they didn't. Otherwise, there have been a lot of misses (for her), and disappointing cross-country form.
This championship has been a real letdown. She came in 21st in the sprint and was above the pursuit start as she wasn't quite in shape. She has run both the single mixed relay and the women's relay without much luck.
What was worrying when Wierer was going to run her 2nd stage today was that she coughed and rasped before she was going to run. That's definitely not a sign of strength, and we saw that on the cross-country course too. She was 55 seconds behind Lampic in pure cross-country time. There's not much to fall behind.

Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold

That the season has been a steep downhill, we can also say about Tandrevold. It started with heart problems in Kontiolahti, and then there have been falls and too many misses on the stand. This has resulted in a 15th place being the best she has achieved this season. She has neither been good enough on the shooting range nor on the course. She has been good in prone, but too many things have gone wrong in standing.

This World Cup is no exception. She finished 23rd in the sprint, 18th in the pursuit and 39th in the normal. That's anything but good enough. She also managed to get a round in the relay. It's especially the standing shooting that has haunted her in this championship as well. She hasn't skied very fast in this championship either.

Conclusion

After what I have presented about both athletes, it is very strange that we should touch on this H2H duel here. I expect very little from both of them tomorrow. If either of them manages a top 6 placement, I will be very surprised. But from what I saw at the relay, a sick Wierer was. She really did not look good. When we get 2.10 on Tandrevold to finish before Wierer, I can do nothing but not. We know that Tandrevold's top level is high, but we have to see it this season. Will she show it tomorrow?
I recommend the following bets:

Switzerland at 13:45 Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold – Dorothea Wierer: Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (2.10) 3 units
