Analysis Information
Visby/Roma – Hudiksvalls – Ice hockey – Hockeyettan
Match start: Wednesday 22 April at 19.00
Both Teams to Score At Least 2 Goals (1.75)
Bet: 3/10 units
Three justifications for the game proposal
- Visby/Roma had at least 2 goals in 13 consecutive matches before the last match, while Hudiksvalls had at least 2 goals in 24 consecutive matches.
- If we ignore the last match, the finals so far (4–3, 6–3, 1-0) have shown an open match with many chances both ways.
- Both teams are in strong offensive form and play at a high pace which results in goals.
The final series between Visby/Roma and Hudiksvalls is 2–1 before the third game, after two high-scoring matches and one with a battle for position (4–3, 6–3 and 1-0). Hudiksvall has been by far the most stable team of the season, with a long winning streak and consistent scoring ability, while Visby/Roma has found top form in the playoffs and impressed offensively. Both teams create a lot of chances, and neither has been able to completely close defensively in the final so far, because the opportunities have been there even if the goals did not come recently. With the offensive stability shown by both teams, and the development in the series, everything points to another open match with a lot of goals. Conclusion: Both teams score at least two goals.
Game 4 – The key match
The stage is set for a key match in the Hockeyettan final when Visby/Roma takes on Hudiksvalls, with the score 2–1 in the best-of-five matches. The first three matches have given a clear picture of what to expect: High intensity, a lot of pace, and not least a lot of goals in the first two matches. The third match was a defensive match, but I don't believe it again, now Hudiksvall has to win.
Hudiksvall - The year's best team in Hockeyettan?
Hudiksvall entered the final in a form that is rarely seen at this level. The team had won 39 straight games through the regular season and playoffs, and made it to the final without a loss before Visby fought back in game two. They opened the final with a narrow 4–3 win, before the streak ended in a clear 3–6 loss and again a 0–1 loss in the final. Hudiksvall's strength still lies in their structure: They concede little, have an effective power play and score consistently throughout the series. In the playoffs, they have also delivered solid results, including 6–1 and 5–2 in the series before the final.
Visby/Rome – Strong challenger
Visby/Roma has had a more uneven season, but has grown significantly in the playoffs. The road to the final has been tougher, but the team has knocked out strong opponents and seems to have hit top form now. The offensive flow has been clear in the final, especially in the 6–3 win and the 1-0 win last time, where they exploited Hudiksvall's weaknesses in their own zone far better than before. At the same time, it is a team that plays more physically and directly, which can create problems for a structured Hudiksvall team.
Mutual and form
In the finals so far, we have had two high-scoring matches (4–3, 6–3 and 1-0), and there is little indication that the game will change drastically in the fourth. The third game took care of that! Both teams have shown that they can score on each other, and neither of them has managed to "close" the games completely defensively.
In terms of form, Hudiksvall is still the most stable team over time, but Visby/Roma has momentum after the last match and home field advantage. The statistics also clearly point towards goals: Hudiksvall has delivered consistently offensively throughout the season, while Visby is now scoring with a high frequency in the playoffs. But now Hudiksvall MUST win to get one last match.
Conclusion
Finals tend to live their own lives, and all in all, it looks like an open match again. Considering the teams' offensive stability and how the first two finals have developed, it is difficult to see another low-scoring match. The conclusion is therefore clear: This looks like another match where both teams score at least two goals.
