From bad to worse and from bad to good – that really sums up the season for the two teams that meet tonight. Their presentation has been in waves, ups and downs, but that is exactly what we can use to our advantage.
This match has the potential to be a goal-fest, because here two chasing teams meet who love to score goals – but who hate to keep a clean sheet.

Valur – A sinking ship in overtime

The home team, which has long been one of my favorite teams, has looked both gray and dead for a long time. They win one game and give us hope for a change of form, only to lose the next against the league's biggest underdog - often in overtime.
Valur have previously been solid defensively, but during the season this has constantly slipped. Before, it was never a question of whether they would win or score, but now I'm barely willing to put a double chance on them.

However, we should not forget their offensive strength. With their explosive attack line, led by super striker Patrick Pedersen, they always have a goal in them. Without the Dane, Valur is nothing – time and time again he has been decisive and secured important points. He is simply the very core of the team.

But with the form they have shown lately, this is far from an easy match, as the odds suggest. I actually think it is quite likely that the visitors will take all the points, especially as Stjarnan are in good form today.

Stjarnan – Gunpowder in front of the goal

In-form Stjarnan travel to Valur with the ambition of capturing three points that could bring them even closer to the top – a peak they can already see on the horizon.
The blue-clad team had a difficult period in the middle of the season, but have now found the last gear needed to turn games around and secure the necessary points in their pursuit of medals.

Offensively, the team has impressed for a long time, but at times they have disappointed greatly at the back. Yet they have still managed to score just enough to take points with them, even in games where it has leaked like a sieve at the back. And that is exactly what I see tonight: goals both ways.

The fact that Stjarnan is at almost five in the odds is completely incomprehensible to me. This team is by no means without a chance here.

Summary – Game Selection

When two offensive teams with weak defensive lines meet, goals are bound to come – and lots of them. I’m pretty sure we’ll see goals tonight, and most likely from both teams. Surprisingly, we get good odds on “ Over 2.5 goals + BTS ”, which I think is a perfect bet in this match.

Playing pure match marking is riskier, as you never know which version of Valur will turn up. An X2 variant or a low bet on away win may still be appropriate if you want higher odds. For us, the safer option is the main selection.
