V86-1

9 La Liga Boy is an exciting 4-year-old from the stable of Christoffer Eriksson who has shown both capacity and good development since he arrived there in the autumn. However, he has been somewhat uncertain, with galloping both in his debut of the year – where he probably wasted a win – and last time, where he nevertheless came back and won safely in the end. It is clear that he has high enough capacity to win this race regardless of the race arrangement, but the key lies in staying clear. He needs to deliver a more stable performance than last time, as there is hardly any room for galloping this time.

Summary:
Great chance of winning if executed flawlessly, but the gallop risk means that the race must be covered.

V86-2

7 Icy Conditions has impressed with four straight wins so far this year and is emerging as one of the best three-year-old mares in the litter. The Calgary Games daughter has shown both strength and versatility, and most recently she delivered a very convincing win at Solvalla against similar opposition. She has an outside starting position, but benefits from an inside sweep and should get off to a good start. The main scenario is that she gets ahead early and takes the lead, a position that gives her a top chance of winning. At the same time, she is so strong and tough that she can also win from an outside position if there is a fight for the lead. She has simply made short work of her competitors so far this season, and everything points to another very solid performance.

Summary:
A clear winner regardless of the race format – the horse to beat.

V86-3

5 Jackpot Mearas had a very strong season last year with over one million entries, and developed in step with increasing competition. This is a very winning type with 14 wins in 22 starts, and the capacity suggests that he is still holding his own well, even against tougher opposition. His debut of the year may not have been the biggest test, but he fulfilled it convincingly and looked good all the way. The race should have given him an important boost in terms of form, and with that in his body he is even stronger now. From a good start he is likely to aim for the lead early on. If he is allowed to dictate the pace from there, he will normally be very difficult to beat. At the same time, he has the qualities needed to hold his own well throughout the season.

Summary:
Very good chance of winning – everything is in place for a classic “tee and finish”.

V86-4

4 Don Fanucci Zet is a top-class horse from Daniel Redén's stable and still belongs to the world elite, despite being ten years old. With over 23 million kroner in earnings – and a very strong season last year – he still maintains a level that few can match. He looked very good in his debut of the year, where he won controlled from the lead. The track record this time speaks in his favor again, the toughest challenger in slot 5, and everything is in place for him to take the lead early. From there he can control the pace as he wishes and decide with a quick finish. From the lead he is simply the horse to beat, and under normal conditions it should be a task he has full control over.

Summary:
Clear favorite and should be characterized as the best banker of the round – everything points to another victory from the front.

V86-5

2 The Flying Eagle made a very strong debut under Robert Bergh last time out, where he impressed with a win after quickly opening up to the lead and then controlling the race at a solid pace. The impression was very good, and it suggests that he has taken further steps under new management. This is a capable horse who now appears in top form, and with a good starting track it is possible that he can again get to the lead early. From the lead he will be very difficult to beat, but at the same time he has shown that he can also win from other positions.

Summary:
Probably close early, and from there it will probably hold.

V86-6

2 Prince Of Euro made a very positive impression with his victory last time out, where the three-year-old decided in a controlled and effortless way the last hundred meters. The horse is getting good shots from the stable, which means that he must be taken seriously in the future. From a good starting track he has a good chance of getting to the front early, a position he impressed in the last time out. If he can control the race from there again, he will be a clear contender and a horse to be reckoned with.

Summary:
Strong front-runner and a natural first choice with good chances of winning.

V86-7

10 Princess Diamond impressed with a straight win in her management debut for Angelica Jonsson, and has since followed up with several strong performances. Most recently she delivered a very good effort in third after a gallop, which further confirms her top form. This is a tough and strong four-year-old who can handle a lot of the work herself, and she is now in line for victory after several good races without full credit. The fact that she will only face mares this time is a clear plus, and she is also chosen by Carl Johan Jepson in the race - which strengthens the impression. With her strong finish she can round many at the end if things go well along the way, and if she avoids trouble, she will be very difficult to stop.

Summary:
Clear winner in an open race.

V86-8

3 Muzan Kibutsuji is an exciting four-year-old who has received valuable matching throughout the winter in France, including at Vincennes. Such stays often provide a clear boost in capacity, and he has also shown good performances down there, despite tough competition. This appears to be a consistent and talented gelding who already showed last year that he can hold his own in a Scandinavian context. The conditions here are clearly favorable, and from a nice track behind the starting car, it is set for a good journey along the way. The opposition looks suitable, and with the toughness he has now built up, he should be in the fight for victory.

Summary:
Exciting horse with form and capacity – a clear candidate for victory as I see it.
