Analysis Information
V85 Solvalla two days in a row. Big money in the pot both days. Sunday is the big day with Elitloppet. However, there is "more than enough" money to bet on today.
There will be a mini-analysis for each of these two V85 days at Solvalla. Sunday's analysis will be on Saturday evening.
Today's main players:
V85-1
8 Clarissa is a spectacular Italian mare who has already made her mark as one of Europe's very best mares, and the impression in this year's two starts has been brilliant. Both races have ended with superior victories, most recently in Örebro where Alessandro Gocciadoro sent her into the lead after half a lap before she simply crushed the opposition with seemingly plenty of strength left over the finish. In other words, her form seems to be at its peak. This time, however, the task is a little more demanding. Track eight in a track staircase is of course not ideal, especially over the short distance, and several of the competitors on the inside are both fast and interested in running in the lead. There is therefore a risk that Clarissa may be left hanging out in the tracks initially or have to do a lot of work along the way. At the same time, her capacity is enormous, and the reports from Gocciadoro are still very positive. She can open up quickly when she really puts in the effort from the start, and there is much indication that it will be an offensive approach this time too. Although the distance may be on the short side for the strong Italian "tank", she has previously shown that she can withstand tough race conditions and still decide on pure class. Against several of these competitors, she has also already proven to be clearly the best earlier this year. Clearly the top horse in the field - but this time there are also some tactical question marks that make the race extra interesting. An alternative knocks, but chooses to cover up on the analysis system.
V85-3
1 Jackpot Mearas impressed greatly with his superior victory at V85 last time, where he looked almost completely unridden over the finish after controlling the race from the lead. Now the elegant seven-year-old has once again got a perfect starting point, and there is much to suggest that it could be another performance from the lead. With his light and efficient stride, he looks very fast, and the feeling is that he has very good chances to defend the inside track and take command early. When the supposedly toughest competitor is also handicapped by a difficult back track, the task looks even more interesting. Trainer Maria Törnqvist also believes in a further improved performance this time, which could be important in a strong silver division final during the Elitloppshelgen. Should Jackpot Mearas be able to control the pace without being pushed too hard along the way, everything is set for a classic close and final.
V85-8
The bronze final during the Elitloppshelgen concludes the round, and much of the focus is on 7 Bold Eagle Sun, who is still undefeated after ten starts. The six-year-old impressed greatly at Åby last time when he rounded the entire field to victory after a strong finish. Now it is reported that there are shoeless all around and American sulky again, but this time the task is a little different. Several fast competitors on the inside mean that the lead does not seem obvious, and he risks having to do work on the outside. There is no doubt about his capacity, but as a big favorite he may be vulnerable if the race is not completely perfect.
2 Indy Boy made a mess of things during the Elitloppshelgen last year, but the six-year-old has made huge strides this season and now appears to be a completely different horse. After a gallop-filled end to last year, he has delivered four wins and a second place in five starts this year, while the trot has looked much more secure. He impressed a lot last time at Åby with a raw finish out in the tracks, and now maximum equipment is expected with shoeless all around and bike. From a nice track, Örjan Kihlström can choose tactics, and if Indy Boy finds his way to the lead, he will be very difficult to beat. Form, development and exciting equipment changes make him one of the most interesting betting objects of the weekend.
I'm locking on these two in the finals, and trying with Indy Boy knocking on the little suggestion
