Analysis Information
We have a freezing Jutland clash ahead of us! Two teams are fighting for crucial points, and I have found a winning odds with good value. SønderjyskE wants to create a gap to the two bottom teams, while Silkeborg is chasing a place in the top 6 to secure a ticket to the championship play-offs – and the opportunity to play in Europe next season.
SønderjyskE – Holes in the defence
SønderjyskE has been part of the Superliga for many years, and every season they have been predicted as relegation candidates. Two years ago it finally happened. But what no one had thought was that they completely dominated the NordicBet league last year and were promoted straight back up. Now they are fighting to keep their place!
This is a team that likes to play football, perhaps with a slightly naive approach for a newly promoted team. They have conceded a total of 44 goals in 19 games – 22 at home and 22 away. That is a weak statistic. At the same time, they have scored 24 goals themselves, so they are doing something right.
SønderjyskE will have to do without two important players, both regulars in the starting lineup; first-choice goalkeeper Nicolai Flø and center back Daniel Gretarsson. Two heavy absences they will definitely miss.
Silkeborg – Kent Nielsen; Denmark's Pep G.
Silkeborg is a solid team from central Jutland that has established itself in the Superliga. Kent Nielsen has been coach for several years, and he practices a ball-possession style of play. Silkeborg is among the teams in Denmark that play the most attractive football – they combine elegantly through the opposition's pressure and have a lot of the ball. This is a team that I really enjoy watching play.
As the saying goes: “The best defense is a good offense.” Silkeborg has only conceded 11 goals in 9 away games, an impressive statistic in a league where money is limited, especially for a club of their size.
Silkeborg also has some absences. Defender Pedro Ganchas is out, in addition to midfielders Frederik Carlsen and important Mads Larsen.
That's why we believe in the away team
There is a lot at stake here – either survival or big money in Europe. I am convinced that history will repeat itself, and that the visitors from Silkeborg will win this match, just like in the last six meetings between these teams. SønderjyskE are conceding far too many goals, and that will be punished against Silkeborg. Therefore, I see great value in the following bets;
Denmark at 14:00: SønderjyskE - Silkeborg: Silkeborg Wins (2.23)
