We are going to visit Norway's best home team. Sandefjord has collected the most points at home this season. They have simply made Jotun Arena the fortress that many teams dream of. Kristiansund is coming to visit. They have delivered an okay season, and have proven to be a team that can cause trouble for so many.

Sandefjord – Two different teams.

Sandefjord is truly the Eliteserien's Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. The difference at home and away is absolutely enormous. If this team had delivered anything close to what they are able to do at home, they could have been right up there this year. Because at home they are with a fantastic 6-0-0 so far. Clearly the best of all teams this year when it comes to home. While away they are with 1-0-6. It is almost impossible to explain.

Anyone who has played football at a certain level, or followed football actively for a few years, knows that this can be the case. Football is about self-confidence, and this team has plenty of that with their own fans behind them. They haven't faced any of the top 4 teams at home yet, so it could be a bit of a coincidence. But clubs that are at the same level as Kristiansund have been blown off the field. We think they will continue in the same vein at home, and against what looks like a slightly weakened Kristiansund, we have faith in the home team.

Almost as impressive as the points they have collected at home is their goal difference. In the 6 wins they have a total of 16-3. A really strong goal average, both in terms of goals scored and goals conceded. They have strong offensive players, and love to entertain. We think they will let loose in this one too.

Kristiansund – A weakened team.

Kristiansund, which varies a lot, is not in its best period. They are 0-3-1 in the last four games, which also includes a loss against Lillestrøm in the cup. 0-0 against Haugesund is also among the results.

They have now also sold their best player Ruben Alte to Viking. A running machine and a creative force from the midfield that will be difficult to replace. They also have a couple of injuries and a suspension coming into this match. Hoffmann is out with an injury, and Olsen is out with a suspension, which is clearly the heaviest drop-outs in an otherwise somewhat thin squad. We are wondering how the team will manage to adjust after Alte's transfer, as much of the game has gone through this player. He will not be easy to fill in for, and we therefore believe that they will struggle both offensively and defensively because of this. Such a fresh transfer without a replacement in place will leave its mark, especially with the form being a bit lacking already.

It will be exciting to see if others step up, and if they have enough qualities. Players like Kilen and Isah have worked well with Alte, and it will be exciting to see if they can manage without them. We think this team will figure it out eventually, but to face what is Norway's best home team in the first game after the upheaval here. We think it will be tough.

Conclusion – The home team will keep it going.

We have seen many teams that experience their home ground as a fortress all the way through. What characterizes these teams is a self-confidence and belief that you almost think is a bit exaggerated. But belief can move mountains, and self-confidence is everything in football.

We therefore think that when the bookmakers are on the offer side, this must be tried to be exploited. We have great faith in the home team, and they rarely give up after a score. A slightly marked and uncertain Kristiansund, could be a dream opponent to keep the statistics up, and we try the following bets:

Eliteserien at 17:00: Sandefjord – Kristiansund: Sandefjord wins -1.5 goals (2.68)
