Randaberg – TIF Viking 15.02.2025

We are in round 15 of 18 in the Mizuno League. The matches are more important for the teams fighting for the play-off places and not least for the teams fighting not to end up in the relegation qualification place. Therefore, I include in this analysis one team fighting for the top spot, while the other team is fighting to survive in the Mizuno League.

Randaberg

Randaberg is in a very difficult period with seven straight losses. They are currently in the relegation qualification place with 11 points. There are only two points up from a safe place. They have played one less game than Øksil, who is in a safe place. It should be manageable for Randaberg to be able to catch up with Øksil. The problem is that they are struggling with injuries to their key players, which makes the task more difficult. Diagola player Håvard Aarrestad did not play the last game due to injuries. He is one of Randaberg's key players with 12.1 points per game. 

TIF Viking 

TIF Viking is currently in second place with 21 points. It is probably too far up Koll in first place with 26 points and TIF Viking has one more game played as well. In the last seven games, TIF Viking has won five and both losses came against the league leader Koll 3-0 and 3-1 losses. Last weekend, TIF Viking played against Øksil where they had good control and took the game 3-0 with Eirik Bjelland as a key player with a total of 12 points in the game. Eirik Bjelland has 13.1 points per game so far this season.

Conclusion

Randaberg should get something out of this match. The problem is that they face a TIF Viking in good form and that there are several players who contribute positively to the attack point statistics. Last match, winger Mads Roness played a solid match and was left with 15 points in total in three sets. Randaberg will not only have to stop Erik Bjelland, but they must also try to stop Mads Roness at the same time.
We also look at the team rating where TIF Viking has better players in most positions on a volleyball court.
Therefore, playing TIF Viking -1.37 handicap is very safe considering that I cannot understand how the Randaberg team will be able to take two sets against this TIF Viking team. We get a bad value of -1.5 handicap, but very nice to have in a combo. Therefore, the main bet is TIF Viking -2.5 handicap considering the value in the odds and the form TIF Viking has shown in 2025.
