  • You can feel that there is a touch of Hockey Fever in Trondheim again. There is a buzz between people, and Leangen Ishall is again on everyone's lips. Nidaros meets Ringerike in the Playoffs for the EHL, and they have already made it to the first match ball (even though they are using a puck). It is felt throughout the city, and not since TIK had its heyday has the city felt such enthusiasm.

Ringerike already noticed this in the first match, which they lost clearly 4-0. When Nidaros also won 1-3 away against Ringerike in match two, it means that the home team has acquired 3 match points to secure promotion. We have little faith that Nidaros will not win one of the last three, and we think that it could happen already in this one. It is the team that has managed the greatest momentum at the moment of these two.

Nidaros Hockey – The favorite has fulfilled its promise so far.

A little like we wrote about in this article Finals in the 1st division and interview with the "scoring king". – 90 Minute Family , Nidaros has taken control of this playoff. The grip began already at the end of the series, when Nidaros beat their opponent in two close matches. We have already mentioned that Nidaros was the favorite to take this promotion, and that the city of Trondheim is almost overripely ready for promotion. The team has had fantastic support in the first home game, and it will definitely fill up now as well. With what is experienced as an unusual pressure in this division, we think that they have an extra man on the ice in the support they will get from the stands. We think that they are playing without fear now, and know that if this one is not won, there will be two more match points anyway.

We believe that gives the team the security it needs. Or as Berling said. This team is ready for promotion. The Swede who was brought in for these playoffs, has experience from clubs like Vålerenga and several other Eliteserie teams, has added security and goal points to the team. There is no doubt that Szurowski has benefited from playing with this ring fox. Szurowski has scored a total of 11 playoff goals so far, and can't stop scoring. Impressive. We feel that this team is better than its opponent, and should, on a normal day, pull this off easily.

Ringerike – No immediate promotion.

Many experts thought that this team was the big favorite before this year's season started. But there is no doubt that that arrow has pointed towards today's opponent during the season. The team that was relegated from the EHL last year, has not been able to bite off as much as first thought. They started well, and looked like a tough nut to crack. But Nidaros bit it hard, and managed to get an advantage that they never let go of during the season. That trend has continued into the playoffs. We think the difference has become bigger and bigger during the season.

Now Ringerike simply looks weaker. They started their home game well last time. They put Nidaros under pressure from the start. But this was a game they had to win, and they couldn't. It was actually a controlled victory for the away team in the end, and we think the team is aware that they are inferior to their opponent at the moment. Then it will be tough to go to a boiling Leangen Ishall to turn the momentum around. We don't think they will be able to do it. So let's look at what is playable.

Conclusion – The best team wins.

No doubt about what we think here. We have followed hockey closely all year, and not least the undersigned who is from Trondheim. For the first time in many years, I have believed that Trondheim may once again have the opportunity for a team at the top level. It is welcome, and the city is in good spirits. A sold-out arena is expected, with a pressure these players are not used to. We believe that the home team will use that energy, and secure the long-awaited promotion. Rarely has the club been more ready than it is now.

Ringerike is of course capable of putting a stop to the wheels, but we think the loss last time was decisive in terms of the belief in the team. We saw it a little after the game, it looked like a resigned Ringerike, who understands how this ends. We get very good odds, and therefore try the following bet.

Hockey at 19:00: Nidaros Hockey – Ringerike: Nidaros Hockey wins (1.90).
