Months of speculation, transfers, friendly matches and expectations have led us here. Now it's finally time to play for points again, and the excitement is already palpable.

For fans across the country, this means packed stands, thrilling matches and weekends once again all about football. We may be entering one of the most consistent seasons in a long time.

The big cities are in place with their proud clubs, ready to fight for glory, points and positions. At the same time, the challengers lurk right behind – the teams that dream of surprising, climbing the table and writing new chapters in their own history.

Molde FK – Looking better than in a while.

A slightly different start to the season for Molde, who are still waiting for their head coach. Martin Falk currently serves as head coach, until Sindre Tjelmeland is in place at the end of May. They have decided to wait for the right man, instead of going for a solution they did not believe in. Then it will be seen whether this is the right choice considering this season.

Molde looked good for a long time against Bodø Glimt in the cup, and we believe that the team will bite hard this year. This is a team that has been at the top of the table for several seasons. Before last year they finished all the way down in 10th place.

They seem to have come to terms with that. They have strengthened themselves, while also cleaning up their squad a bit. They look exciting all over the field, and if they keep the team injury-free, we think they can quickly stay right up there at the top.

The team has already been in action in the cup, and lost a relatively even match against a somewhat reduced Bodø Glimt. Although that doesn't necessarily mean that Glimt is any weaker for that reason. They did well in that match, and look better than they have in a long time.

Rosenborg – injury-hit and without self-confidence.

If Molde is about to figure things out. The opposite can probably be said about Rosenborg. Horrible training matches were followed by an embarrassing loss against Bryne in the cup. To lose against an OBOS team in this way certainly hurt. This was also Rosenborg's last straw to get to Europe this season. That opportunity is now gone already.

If you remember Rosenborg's end of last year, the team was terribly bad throughout the fall. They never got the team in order after the sales of Nypan and Broholm.

After this, Rosenborg has lacked a lot. Creativity in midfield is completely absent. It still hasn't improved, and they look tame up front. Where it seems that Emil Konradsen Ceide is the only threat, as it is today.

They also have problems down the field. In general, there are a lot of absences this season. It has been confirmed that they will be missing between 6-10 players by the start of the season. Many of those who may return will also need a lot of time to get back into shape.

We believe Rosenborg will soon fall a little behind from the start of this season.

Conclusion – Goals are a guarantee.

The only thing we can say for sure is that there will be goals in this match. These matches tend to live their own lives. So we simply don't dare to play a pure selection on Molde winning the opening match. Even if it is a game in Molde's favor that is tempting.

We're trying a different game. Rosenborg has a tendency to be back-heavy during games, and we think they'll be here soon too. Molde probably knows their visiting time against their arch-enemy. Considering the problems the team is currently facing, Molde will probably come out hard to try to punish Rosenborg.
