Analysis of:
Fire – HamKam

Analysis Information
Last round of the series and still a lot to play for. Because after Tromsø passed Brann in the previous round, there is now a Brann team that wants to take back the medal in the last round of the series. Should they be so lucky to get help from Kristiansund. It would be too stupid if they didn't do the job themselves at home. HamKam has had a great development lately under Myhre. But do they really have anything to play for when it comes down to it. The motivation should clearly be the greatest for the home team.
Brann – established as a top team.
Personally, I thought Brann would have a slump this year. With a change of coach, and a somewhat unclear squad, things didn't look so good before this year's season in my eyes. But the team has actually performed throughout the season, and it was probably the strain of playing in Europe that made them fall a little at the end. We also see that at Bodø Glimt. It's tough to perform in several arenas over time. But I think Brann has learned a lot. Also, it made a big difference when Heggebø took the trip over to England. They never really got their momentum back after that.
Looking at the last 6 games including Europe, the team has not won a single game. We still believe that they will now. A final round of the series with everything to play for will be motivation enough.
At home, the team has so far scored 30 points in 14 home games, and with a positive goal difference of 28-18. This shows a team that thrives on their own turf. We believe they want to finish in style. First of all, with a view to a possible medal. But also to take something positive with them into next season.
HamKam – Has become a solid team.
After HamKam beat Rosenborg 4-0 at home on 28.09, the team has not looked back. If you look at the cup and series in that period. The team has 6-1-1 in the last 8. It also ultimately meant that the team came far away from the bottom battle that they had long been a part of.
Thomas Myre has gradually built a very solid team. Very well done. If you look a little behind the results recently, there are many teams that are not too high in the table, and they have perhaps been a little lucky with the schedule.
They will now head to Bergen for a final round of the series. The team has nothing to play for, but they probably want to maintain their good form, and certainly put a damper on a Brann team that is chasing a medal.
But if they end up under, the motivation is just as great to stand against a chasing Brann team. I don't think so. They could easily end up away to Viking, a deserved 3-0 loss.
Conclusion – A lot of gut feeling.
This is clearly a game where you have to put form and statistics aside. This match will probably live its own life. A Brann team with everything to play for, against a HamKam with nothing to play for, forms the basis for the assessment. Here people have to judge for themselves. But if you had been given these odds 5-6 weeks ago, I think many would have gone all in.
I think Brann will win by more goals, and therefore play the following bet:
Eliteserien: at 17:00: Brann – HamKam: Brann wins -1.5 goals (2.07)
