It's almost always entertaining when Eintracht Frankfurt meets Bayern Munich. It tends to be goal-heavy, both ways and both teams have shown that they have goals in them this season. Eintracht Frankfurt have only scored 6 less than Bayern, but on the other hand they have also conceded a whopping 13 against Bayern's 3. In addition, it's hard to ignore Bayern when analyzing a match, they are pretty solid and there is always a good game and two - which more often than not sit like a shot. After all, this is the main match on Saturday and a match that is very much looked forward to at a packed Deutsche Bank Park!

Eintracht Frankfurt – Jojo tendencies are strange

It's one goal celebration after another when Frankfurt's best take the field. And not necessarily to Frankfurt's advantage; the last 5 games can probably be categorized as crazy. There was a crushing loss against Athletico Madrid, a whopping 5-1. And they came from a game against Borussia Mönchengladbach where they led a whopping 6-0 before the game finally ended 6-4! Complete collapse, all 4 of Gladbach's goals came from the 72nd minute of play, which is quite possible, here Frankfurt completely fell asleep! The game before that? 3-4 at home against Union Berlin. Before that? 5-1 win against Galatasaray. And before that again there was a 3-1 loss against Bayer Leverkusen. So looking at over 2.5 goals is just forget it, especially when Bayern's goal machinery is also involved. Where we can see, however, is over 3.5 goals, but we'll come back to that.

There was a lot of excitement about what this year's Frankfurt team could achieve, especially with noticeable offensive losses. But they have, despite goal show after goal show, done quite well - at least offensively. They hold 4th place, 6 points behind Bayern in 1st place. That's the defensive Frankfurt has struggled with a bit. The defensive line can play brilliantly in a match to look like a total unknown next match. The midfield 5 with Burkardt in a classic 10's role is what saves this team. But we see how vulnerable they can be when they face good teams, so it already looks pretty dark for this team before the match. Uzun must have his day, so must Chaibi and preferably Burkardt, while the defensive line must find its way out of its problems - quickly. There is great doubt that they will find it out before this match.

Not everything should be painted in black of course, they have a fairly healthy squad and have shown that they can do it on good days. Kristensen is missing in defense and is expected back in mid-October. He would have been good to have against this match with his experience and will be sorely needed when he is back and hopefully stabilizes the defense. But here it is on the attack line of Frankfurt, they must simply and easily make it work this Saturday night, be effective on counterattacks like we saw in last year's match and prevent as many mistakes as possible in the back rows. Because Bayern comes with a squad that smells burnt.

Bayern Munich – Entertainment guarantors

It's a joy to watch Bayern Munich at the moment, Kompany has really put his DNA into the club and they have an insanely strong squad to pick from. In the truest sense of the word, Kompany has a luxury problem and thus gets the opportunity to rotate the squad as necessary. For those who read the analysis last weekend, we were on the verge of having players like Kimmich, Gnabry, Goretzka and Jackson on the bench. All players who would have slipped into any top team. So while Frankfurt loses 5-1 in Spain, Bayern wins 5-1 in Cyprus, of course against a significant difference in the quality of opposition, but still, the teams' morale is at different points.

Bayern have done the job, as is always expected in the spoiled Munich, but they have done the job in style this year. There has never been any doubt about where the points and the victory were going in all the matches this season. The one small exception is perhaps the Super Cup final against Stuttgart – the first match of the season – but here they showed consistent quality and efficiency and deservedly won. The match schedule ahead is also good, after the match against Frankfurt there is an international break, then Der Klassiker, so nothing will be spared here. Kane is in the form of his life, and those around him are no worse, and these players are very used to the pressure of expectations.

The injury front for Bayern has not changed much. Musiala is expected back at the end of November and will probably need time to get back to his good old self. Davies will probably be back in December at the earliest, while Ito and Stanisic are expected back during October. But as mentioned at the beginning, Bayern's squad is wide and oozes quality, there is no problem in fielding something far more toxic than what Frankfurt can offer.

Conclusion: Here comes the goal

Goals will be here, everything else will be a bomb. Then you just have to deal with handicaps, goal bets and possibly marking combos. Short and corner bets have been investigated without finding any very clear trend. What is also investigated are bets that involve shots on goal, goalkeeper saves and other unorthodox bets. These can often provide good value and be something oddsmakers do not put as much into as not as many people choose to bet on these. An example of this is the alternative bet that was added last weekend with Bayern over 1.5 goalkeeper saves at 1.72 in odds that went in. All of the suggestions below can be approved, so strong is the belief in Bayern and what they deliver, combined with what Frankfurt can contribute here. All of this said, let's see where we find good value for this match, in no particular order:

  • Over 3.5 goals (1.72): It is quite natural to start here. The statistics, the form curve and internally between these, this can be well defended. As mentioned in the analysis; Frankfurt's last 5 have ended over 3.5 goals, Bayern's last 5 have ended over 3.5 goals. The last 3 of 5 between them have ended over 3.5 goals - most recently 3-3 last season. Nice game at good value that will be put a bong on anyway.
  • Bayern -1 Asian Handicap (1.62): There are actually surprisingly good odds on a handicap on Bayern. It is probably based on the fact that this is not considered a match where Bayern comes and completely dominates, but , the gut feeling indicates that they come here and take charge of this match and give Frankfurt's defense a lot of challenges. It is just difficult to imagine how Frankfurt will handle Bayern when they concede 5 against Athletico, 4 against Gladbach, 4 against Union and 3 against Leverkusen. None of the latter 3 have had a brilliant season so far. It would be fair to say that this should be one of the bankers' bets for this match.
  • Bayern Munich over 2.5 goals (1.89): Frankfurt conceded 3 last season at home. 4 in Munich. Then they had a solid defense. They don't have that now. And not to repeat Frankfurt's yo-yo season once again – here is also a good bet at very good odds.
  • Both teams to score + over 2.5 goals (1.53): This is one of the safer bets for the match, with low odds. Bayern have conceded 1 goal in all away games this season, Frankfurt have scored in all home games. And at home they often find the back of the net against Bayern, the last time they didn't was in 2022. A perfectly okay bet, but rather something that can be used in a combo with another low-odds bet.
  • Bayern wins + over 2.5 goals (1.72): Nice bet at good odds, a good option among a solid selection.
  • Over 6.5 goalkeeper saves (1.62): This one is fun and is played for just that, in addition to a statistic that supports it. In Frankfurt's last 5, it has an average of 6.6 saves while in Bayern's last 5 it has an average of 9. Here it will be attacking football and here it will be shots on goal.
  • Kane to score 2 goals or more (3.40): We can't help but include this one on the man who set a new Bundesliga record last weekend by rushing to 100 goals in the fewest games. 2 goals or more were put on Kane last weekend which we thanked and bowed to and that will be done here too. Kane has scored 2 goals or more in the last 5 out of 5 games – nothing more needs to be said – Kane delivers.
