Three important points at stake

Celta Vigo host Osasuna in a La Liga clash this Friday night at Balaídos. This is set to be a fast-paced, high-intensity battle with chances on both sides, between a home team aiming for the top spot and an away team with newfound offensive confidence. Both teams are showing a willingness to attack – which could mean an entertaining match for the crowd. For both, it's important points at stake: Celta are in the race for European play, while Osasuna will be looking to climb into the top half of the table.

Celta Vigo – Finding the back of the net more often

Celta are a possession team that likes to control the game on their own turf, keep a lot of the ball in the team and build attacks through the midfield and via the wings. Giráldez will probably continue with an offensive 3–4–3 formation, where young Williot Swedberg is gaining confidence in attack and the wing-backs fill in up front. At the top, Borja Iglesias towers as a goal hunter – he has already scored double figures this season. Celta have found the net consistently in recent weeks, a clear sign of the team's impact forward on the pitch. At the same time, they are conceding more than they should, so the defense is far from invincible when the team storms into attack.

Osasuna – Struggling away from home

Osasuna, on the other hand, come to Vigo with a compact defensive organisation and rely on quick transition opportunities when they win the ball. Away form has failed – the Pamplona team has little to show for on foreign turf this season, and thus they are clear underdogs here. Nevertheless, Osasuna have been involved in several goal-rich matches recently, and they have scored at least two goals in several consecutive matches. The attack is led by an in-form Ante Budimir, and this Osasuna team has the offensive qualities to challenge Celta if they are given space to counterattack.

Conclusion – Both teams are pressing

Celta will control the game offensively from the start, and Osasuna has no reason to park the bus for 90 minutes. Neither side will be content with a draw, and with both teams' ability to score goals, everything is set for an open, chance-filled and entertaining match right up until the very end.

Everything points to one thing.
