Analysis of:
Celta Vigo – Leganes 08-03-2025

Analysis Information
No Friday game this weekend, so we start with an early game on Saturday at 2pm, at Estadio Abanca-Balaidos. A ground that the home team has made their fort this year, and when Leganes comes to visit we expect both action and goals.
Celta Vigo – continues its home dominance
Celta Vigo have shown impressive form at home this season, with 26 of their total 33 points coming at Balaidos. This makes them the fifth best home team in La Liga, behind only Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona. They have only lost at home to Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, and have drawn against FC Barcelona and Girona. Swedish midfielder Swedberg is out after what looked like a hamstring injury against Girona, but right-back Sergio Carreira looks set to be back in time for the match. And we're keeping our fingers crossed that 37-year-old Lago Aspas is fit to start. He has 8 goals this season. Otherwise, they will probably line up almost the same as they did last time out, away to Girona.
Leganés - losing ground in La Liga
Leganés have had mixed results away from home this season. Although they played 3-0 at home to Celta Vigo earlier in the season, this is a completely different game away from home. In their last away matches they have lost 0-3 away to Real Sociedad and 0-2 to Valencia in the last month alone, and there is nothing to suggest that they will rise here. And with their 38 goals conceded this season, it shows weaknesses in their defense that they cannot quite get to work away from home.
That's why we think Celta Vigo will take all the points
Celta Vigo's strong home form and Leganés' varying away results mean that we expect both a home win and at least 2 goals. Their ability to dominate at Balaidos is, as previously mentioned, very good, they have good self-confidence and the supporters are very lively at home in Vigo. In addition, Gonzalez is probably interested in maintaining the good home form. We try the following bets;
Spain at 14:00: Celta Vigo – Leganes: Celta Vigo to win + over 1.5 goals in the match (1.95)
