Analysis Information
Can the newcomer surprise?
On Sunday afternoon we will have a meeting between two teams with completely different ambitions. Cádiz has started the season strongly after the relegation and appears as a promotion favorite in the Segunda División. Ceuta is newly promoted and is fighting primarily to cling on. Both teams come in with positive energy, but the balance of power is clear: Cádiz is undefeated and has consolidated itself at the top, while Ceuta must prove that they can deliver on the road. At the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, the framework is set for a clash in which the home team is expected to dominate.
Cádiz: Solid form and strength of identity
Cádiz have four wins and two draws in their first six games of the season, and defensive confidence has been key. They have only conceded five goals, and at home they have kept a clean sheet several times. The strong start gives the team confidence that they can move straight back up, and coach Gaizka Garitano has left his mark: order, confidence and effort.
The team appears compact at the back with a clear structure. Alert stoppers, well-organized full-backs and a midfield that works hard mean that Cádiz rarely gives up easy chances. Offensively, they haven't been brilliant either, but they have delivered when it counts. The attack is led by Georgian Iuri Tabatadze, who has opened the season with several important goals. The midfield is directed by Ortuño, who scored the last goal, and Moussa Diakite, who creates rhythm and pace in the game.
Although some injuries have plagued the squad, including in defence and goalkeeping, the breadth has been good enough to keep the results up. Garitano has managed to build a winning mentality that makes the team difficult to beat. On their own turf, Cádiz are particularly strong, and the crowd at Mirandilla creates pressure that gives the players an extra dimension.
Ceuta: Newcomer with offensive weapons
Ceuta are back in the Segunda División after a surprise promotion, and the team has taken seven points from six games. It is a result they can be satisfied with, but it also reveals their limitations. At home, Ceuta have shown strength with victories against Zaragoza and Huesca, but away they have struggled. There they stand with just one point and an average of two losses per game.
Ceuta's playing style is bold and offensive. Coach José Juan Romero has been clear that the team will play on their own terms regardless of the opponent. This means high risk and a willingness to attack, but it has also cost points away. Offensively, there is quality in strikers Marcos Fernández and Aisar Koné, while Samuel Obeng has come in and delivered goals. The midfield with Youness Lachhab provides creativity, and the team has several young players who add energy.
Defensively, the weakness is obvious. Ceuta are often stretched lengthwise, and against top teams they have had great difficulty resisting pressure. Although the squad is wide and injury-free, they lack the experience and physicality to resist in matches where they are pressed backwards. Romero is nevertheless aware that they will have to give 200 percent to have a chance of points in Cádiz.
Conclusion: Home strength versus away weakness
The match seems to have a clear favorite. Cádiz is undefeated, very solid at the back and at the same time effective in key situations. Ceuta has had a fresh start at home, but is deprived of self-confidence away. It will take a lot for the newcomer to be able to withstand the pressure of Mirandilla. Everything points to Cádiz taking three new points and consolidating their position at the top.
