Analysis Information
We have now reached the playoff finals in the SHL. Brynas will host Luleå in a match at Monitor ERP Arena in Gavle. These are the teams that finished 1st and 2nd in this year's regular season, and both have impressed, and perhaps for some, continued to surprise in the playoffs. We really have something to look forward to here.
Both teams score top 3 in the league in audience experiences. Where the atmosphere in the halls is one of the criteria. Audience numbers continue to increase, and there is no doubt that these teams contribute there. There is hockey fever in both clubs, and we expect good cook.

Brynas IF – The arrow is still pointing straight up.
Brynas, who won the Hockeyallsvenskan last year and were promoted to the SHL before this season, have managed the feat of winning the regular season in the SHL. And played all the way to the final in the playoffs. It must be said to be both somewhat surprising, but also very impressive. The arrow has pointed straight up for this team since early last year's season. They have built a team with self-confidence and belief in themselves. It is without a doubt a team that believes in their own skills that has reached this final.
We also think they will benefit from their experience from the playoffs last year, when they were promoted. We have seen it before. When teams get into these good periods, they tend to last. In the playoffs, the team has gotten past Malmö in 6 games, and Skellefteå in 5 games. The team has looked very solid in the last 7 games, and has only lost one away game since. In addition, the team has won all of its home games in the playoffs, and that is often the key to success. So they now have 6 home wins in a row in the playoffs. We believe this could quickly become decisive in the final as well.
Brynas enters the final with the advantage of most home games, and probably wants to take care of this advantage by winning here. They are in the process of building a fort on their home field. They were the second best home team in the series, and have continued to be brilliant in the playoffs. There has also been a clear commitment from the club to build up to this being an arena that is difficult to get to. They have invested heavily in new LED lighting that sets the mood in the hall before the games, and the audience has loved it. The audience numbers have been great, and they are probably in the process of getting the fort they wanted. The team is well-staffed in several ranks, and has good depth.
But they also have players who can step up and decide games. Jakob Silfverberg in particular could be important with his experience here. The player who returned to his parent club from several seasons in the NHL would have loved to finish with gold in the playoffs here. He has been brilliant in his comeback, and has been their best point scorer. We think he could easily be the deciding factor in this final as well. So watch out for him.
Luleå HF – Has taken big steps.
Luleå, who last year finished 7th in the SHL and missed out on the playoffs for Vaxjø, have this year gone all the way to the final. There is no doubt that this team has made strides since last year. They performed well all season, and finished 2nd in the regular season. Not many people believed it beforehand. In fact, several people tipped their opponents higher in the table, even though they were promoted from the league below. But we have to give them credit. Not least from the semi-final, when they swept Frølunda, who many thought would be too strong in a playoff.
But the team has been solid, and after first getting past Vaxjø with 4-1 in games. Then they won 4-2 in games against Frølunda, after they were down 2-1 in games. This team does not have the biggest stars, but it is the solid and well-balanced team that does. They create consistently with many ranks. It will therefore be exciting to watch now. Because here they meet a team that matches them in depth. Here we think perhaps it is the important stars that will be decisive, and here there is a slight absence of such.
Although Mathias Brome has been good, both in the regular season and the playoffs. But we wonder if that's enough. They have clearly convinced most at home in the playoffs, and have lost some away games, as well as some that have been won after being relegated.
They play more on their opponent's game away from home, and try to be solid first and foremost. We wonder if that will be enough in this one.
Conclusion – The best team wins.
We have faith in the home team in this one. We see them as the better team of these two. Something that the internal statistics between the teams also show.
Brynas has won 3 out of 4 matches this season, and both home matches have been won, although one had to be postponed. If you look at the regular season, Brynas scores more goals than Luleå, and at the same time they concede fewer.
There are also statistics that you can take with you. Experience from the playoffs last year, and the upswing they are on is also the basis for things going the home team's way. We simply believe in a home win here.
Hockey at 15:15: Brynas IF – Luleå HF: Brynas winner (2.12)
