Bournemouth are eighth, Aston Villa are seventh. Villa currently have the place that secures the Conference League for the fall, Bournemouth in the place behind don't need to look for the passes. But, more importantly, Aston Villa has a hold on both. One point up to Nottingham and the Europa League, and a further two points up to the given Champions League places that Newcastle and Chelsea hold. In fact, Villa are only four points away from Manchester City in third place, so everything is still at stake here. We don't need to emphasize the importance of securing either of these places. The millions are literally flowing in, and both player logistics and motivation are increasing. The burgundy reds from Birmingham have got a taste of the good life this season, and if they are to continue their fine development, they must once again break into the top five or six.

Bournemouth, for their part, will probably have to settle for a solid eighth place. The gap to Saturday's opponent is seven points, and that gap is not being closed. If the season ends strongly, then in a sense the next season is already starting. Plans are being made, and the big questions primarily concern the squad of players that will be at their disposal when August arrives. There are many objects for sale, and even more suitors. The time is ripe for a real match on Saturday!

Bournemouth – The season where it really broke loose

Are there any of you with me who have enjoyed Bournemouth's football this season? Iraola has made a real team out of this bunch, and at times they have been able to catch up with anyone. Last weekend they left the Emirates with three points in their wheelbarrows. It's no coincidence. The team is hard-working, interspersed with several quality players who have made scouts both at home and abroad book a trip to the seaside resort in the south. An eighth place is rock solid, and then all that remains is to take the step into Europe. The problem in England is that there are an awful lot of them around.

14 wins, 11 draws and 10 losses are impressive. That makes for a good Premier League team, and with 53 points they are 14 and 15 points ahead of giants like Manchester United and Tottenham. If you add the budgets of these clubs to the table, the performance is even more remarkable.

The challenge for Bournemouth now is that they have done too well, but not well enough. There are players who realise that the offers will come in the summer, and that you can suddenly be fighting on the biggest stages elsewhere. Big clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are longing for more players in this team, and then the question is what to do. If you don't sell, the process may stagnate, while it will be more difficult to sign new talents when the signal is that the club is holding them back when the big clubs come knocking on the door. A club like Bournemouth has to find the raw material, develop them into exciting objects, and sell them on. That's just how it is. If you sell for the sums that are circulating in the media now, you have a lot of money to spend on new uncut diamonds.

Ahead of the last three games, both the club and the sale objects probably want to show off. The football that has been shown is exuberant and beautiful, and players like Semenyo and Kluivert can conjure up the most magical performances. Aston Villa will face another team that is ready for the match. 1-1, 3-1 to Villa, and 2-2 are the last three results between the clubs.

Aston Villa – The last big test of where you stand

Last season was impressive. The start of this year's Champions League was a bit unbelievable. Both Bologna and Bayern Munich were beaten. They held Juventus to a draw. Suddenly Aston Villa was a real big team that could go all the rounds against anyone. Rashford came on loan, Asensio came to the club, Malen was brought in, and Rogers came out in full bloom. There is a lot of quality in Unai Emery's squad as of today.

But juggling the Premier League and the Champions League is not easy. It takes years of experience to be competitive on several fronts at once. Aston Villa have experienced this this year. Next season could be even better, if they can only manage to clinch one of the very lucrative positions. Because in addition to Bournemouth, the team from Birmingham will face Spurs and Manchester United before the end of the month. That is not impossible, considering the season these two are about to leave behind. With a little luck for Villa, both of them are also involved in the Europa League final, and could not care less about the final rounds on home soil.

Villa are in fine form in the league. There was a narrow 1-2 defeat to City recently, but if we ignore this, it's mostly victories as far as the eye can see. This has accumulated to a 17-9-9 record in the Premier League, with 55 goals on their conscience. Scoring in the last eleven league games, and with six wins in the last seven. Aston Villa have positioned themselves towards the Champions League places, and with a couple of wins in the last three, anything will be possible. The match on Saturday will be very interesting! Note that Rashford is reported unavailable, which in short means Watkins is at the top. Pick up the glove, Ollie!

Conclusion – A match where playfulness meets seriousness

Because there are two different conditions that meet this weekend. Bournemouth is playing for the pleasure and cementing a place in the top half. Important players want to show off a little extra before the wallets are opened in June. Aston Villa, on the other hand, has everything to play for, almost at least. Both the Champions League places and the one Europa League place are more than within reach, and with the fact that several people ahead of them in the table will meet, this could end with the top five again for Villa.

That pot in itself should be more than enough motivation. But then the thing is that even if one team wants something, you don't necessarily get help along the way. Bournemouth is not going to hand out the points at the door, so then we will have a fight. Both teams score and concede regularly, and we think we will end up there again. Norsk Tipping is currently offering 1.82 for both teams to score, and for there to be at least three in total. It doesn't seem impossible at all. In light of the different approaches, we think both teams will go for it on Saturday, and that we will end up with scores, as well as unnecessary mistakes. It's easy to be like that at the end of the season.

Who will win is harder to predict. A win puts Aston Villa right in the middle of the pot with duelists for Europe, and maybe that's enough motivation to give the away team that extra little nod. An UB is available at 1.58, if you want a safer option. At least two goals for the away team is currently 2.05 in odds.
