Blackhawks – Senators 29-10-2025

The NHL is in full swing, and things are starting to settle down a bit. Although it's still early, you can see the outlines of a few things. The Blackhawks were expected to fight in the lower half, while the Senators were tipped by many to be a team that could compete for the big one during the season.

As it has looked so far this season, there is not much that separates these teams. The team from Chicago has surprised, while the team from Ottawa has probably underperformed. Blackhawks with 10 points in 9 games, while today's opponent has 9 points in 9 games.

However, we think we've seen a trend of what's to come. Let's take a look.

Chicago Blackhawks – Talented team that can surprise the best.

After what must be an acceptable start and also from the Blackhawks, now we will see what the team can deliver. Now it is probably over with teams underestimating them, and the team has shown that if they are not taken seriously they can surprise anyone. But everything indicates that it's Knight Spencer's turn again, who will definitely be a strength for the Blackhawks. He has an average of 1.97 goals against in his 6 games, while Arvid Søderblom has 3.01 in his 3. If we had shown that it was Søderblom who was in goal. If a bet on Ottawa had been a couple of units higher.

Because we think that the Blackhawks will be a little worse than their opponent. A lot also because it looks as if maybe both Bertuzzi, who has been very good for the home team so far, will miss this one with injury, along with Mikheyev who is also struggling, and is uncertain here. He was extremely good against the Utah Mammoth in that victory. Heavy losses. They also already have Shea Weber and Laurent Brossoit on the injury list. A lot of practice is also out because of that.

Ottawa Senators – Great potential.

One of the favorites according to many experts to get right into the lead of this year's league. So far it seems that they have thought it will go away on its own. They have had a tame start to this year's season. But they seem to have found some of it now. They also meet the Boston Bruins before this one, and I would check that result before I had decided to bet here. We have a tip out that they will also take that game, and then it may at least look like they have found their form. Because they have won the last two.

First they beat the Philadelphia Flyers in a close affair, before rolling over the Washington Capitals last time out with a total of 1-7. Where the fearsome 1st line with Cousins, Stutzle and Batherson, had a total of 7 points divided between them. Another player who has also delivered is Pinto from the 2nd line, who has picked up points steadily throughout the season. When in addition the 3rd line starts to produce like against Washington, we really understand why many have this team high up this year. Because they do. At the time of writing, only Brady Tkachuk is on the injury list, so it looks good. Because they have a wide squad, and can probably withstand some injuries better than other teams.

Ullamark in goal has also looked good lately, and he is a keeper who can close the goal completely and win games single-handedly. So there is quality here both up front and behind.

Conclusion – The best team wins.

We believe quality beats talent this time around, and it looks like Ottawa is waking up. So while we still get such good odds against a team that is tipped well down the table before the season. We feel it is worth trying a bet in that direction.
